Nano Sizing
With the ActiPix™ D100, a UV area imaging detector, nanoparticles and proteins can be sized fast and effectively with a high precision as low as 0.3nm. Only a few nanolitres of sample are required.
Nano Pipetting - Large Scale High Throughput Sequencing
Reducing assay volumes is a popular trend as it reduces costs and can be accomplished by using low volume, high density plates with 384 or 1536 well formats. Automation using fast, non-contact 'on the fly' dispensing delivers reagents accurately and precisely into the wells in the volume range of 20nl and greater with CV's of less than 10%. Multiple reagents can be dispensed while controlling the order and amount, additionally fluidic inertia ensures efficient mixing of the reagents. Virtually anything can be dispensed, examples include alcohol, PEG, cells, SDS, protein solutions and more. Common applications include sequencing, ELISAs, SPA bead and cytotoxicity assays, Genotyping, and other PCR based Assays.
Nanoparticle Engineering
NanGenex developed the NanoActive™ technology for fast and reliable synthesis of nanoparticles of different type and structure with narrow particle size distribution. Instead of top-down milling and high pressure homogeniation based technologies it uses the bottom-up continous flow nano precipitation method for the synthesis of nanoparticles. The properties of the produced nanoparticles can be modified during the process by the precise control and optimization of various reaction parameters (e.g. pressure, temperature, flow rate, pH and concentration). The reaction parameters can be changed and controlled during synthesis; hence the system provides high degree of flexibility as the starting liquid can contain one or more starting materials.
