Benchtop Crystallisations with Eyela

In addition to our fully automated parallel synthesis platforms, Zinsser Analytic also supplies a range of manual benchtop synthesis stations from Eyela.

The Process Station is a useful tool for the design of novel synthesis methodologies (polycondensations, reflux reactions, catalysts, pressurised hydrogenations/ carbonylations/ polymerisations), process development, process optimisation and process scale up. The system comprises five scaleable independent reaction stations, each with magnetic stirring, individual temperature control for both heating and cooling (-10oC – 150oC), optional individual reflux control and inert gas purging.

The Process Station can also be adapted for crystallisations to allow the subsequent structural analysis (such as XRD or RAMAN Microscopy) of newly synthesised products with the use of specific hardware. Efficient overhead stirring allows the handling of highly viscous media (up to 10,000cP) and the accurate temperature control with ramping allows the easy implementation of reproducible heating and cooling cycles.  The final crystals can be dried under a stream of inert gas or vacuum.
This small footprint system is thus a very flexible and welcome addition to any material, chemical or pharmaceutical chemistry laboratory.
