The SOPHAS HT - Automated Synthesis

Automated synthesis requires access to multiple reagents, the control of the local environment, and the ability to perform discrete reactions under controlled conditions. The Zinsser Analytic Sophas HT automated synthesis instrument provides a complete workflow for the parallel synthesis or generation of new compounds or catalysts.
The Sophas HT is specifically designed for the distribution of both dry and liquid reagents directly from their original storage vial without any additional preparation step under inert conditions.
The Sophas HT is an automatic platform with a robotic arm supplied with a powder dispensing and liquid handling probes and a handler for transportation of vials and labware. The distribution process is controlled by a built in 4-place (5 or 6-place optional) weighing cell to monitor the mass distribution. Powders can be distributed in the range from less than 1mg to 50mg. The new system detects the level of the solid material in the original library vial. Even a small layer on the bottom can be transferred to the dissolution vial or plate.
The Sophas HT can be configured with heated vortexing, liquid and solid handling filtration probes, reaction blocks, pH monitoring, capping/ de-capping of vials, or even visual control of the samples to automate the entire workflow. The Sophas HT is controlled by our unique WinLissy software, which allows a maximum of flexibility, future integration of additional modules and can interface with existing data infrastructure.
